Another movie that simply is bad. Bloodrayne had Ben Kingsley, doesnt mean it warrants a special edition years down the road. I guess the only people who truly will enjoy this are people who possibly have sentimental connections with it, dating back to their childhood.

I second that, Warner really needs to give us a special edition of Beetlejuice!!!  Is anybody paying attention lol.

I love the soundtrack but the movie is bad.  My favorite song is "Can you feel a brand new day".  However as I said before "The Movie is unwatchable"

I saw a trailer for this as a kid. That's the closest I ever want to get to seeing it.

I personally feel ‘THE WIZ’ is a much better version than the 1939 OVER-RATED version. The WIZ is absolutely an amazing brilliant visually stunning film. The cast is great and so is the music.

The message in The Wiz is much deeper and more meaningful than in the 1939 movie version. Believing in yourself sums up the message of this version perfectly. It is portrayed superbly by Diana Ross and the entire cast in this beautiful magnificent movie that is THE WIZ.

THE WIZ is a million times better than The Wizard of OZ. Unfortunately, (for the bashers and haters) because the characters are portrayed by people of color and the story has an urban feel with sybolic messages throughout, most White people DON'T want to like this version and try to always find fault with it in some way shape or form. THE WIZ has become a major threat to the 1939 version because it is just that excellent.

THE WIZ is a ClASSIC and both Diana Ross and Michael Jackson are the most successful male and female recording artist of the 20th century and possibly of all time, so WHY SHOULDN'T The Wiz be honored just like any other film with an Anniversary Edition? Get a grip people!

For your information Mr. M@tt. I never said I didn't like the original did I? No I don't think so! If you know how to read and understand what you read then you will see that I said the original is way overrated in comparison, and if i'm moronic then it obviously takes one to know one.

Im saying that THE WIZ competes well if not better in my opinion and others than the 1939 version. No need to call 'the Wizard of Oz' the original because actually there were other films before the 1939 film came along and COMPLETELY ruined and changed Authors L. Frank Baums novels to make it some Hollwood Fluff. I mean hell! Garlands version was simply a stupid dream from a bump on the head lol. Talk about unmeaningful and uneventful! She never went anywhere! she never learned anything! but THE WIZ stays true to the novel and actually takes Dorothy's character on a journey of self discovery where in the end she becomes the HERO to her ownself through faith and belief. BRAVO! That is what is Universal about the OZ novels and NOT some foolish bump on the head to create the Holy Bible for Whites to always shout "ITS A CLASSIC, ITS A CLASSIC"!! Yeah right! says you and yours.

No white person on Gods green earth wants to say they like 'THE WIZ' better (or like it at all for that matter) than the 1939 version because you have always been raised and taught to believe that whatever is done white must mean it is better than anything else that makes an attempt. Well what you and all the other WIZ Haters and Bashers here don't understand is that no man of any age, creed, or color owns the rights on a theme that is Universal for ALL PEOPLE. The theme can be interpreted in MANY different ways, by MANY different cultures using MANY different symbolic messages. But you see, that wont make a difference you or anyone else here that spews such hate against 'THE WIZ' because if another version comes anywhere close to your precious 'WHITE BREAD' overrated version (especially done with NON-WHITE actors) then you all have a freakin fit! You then talk bad about it, talk c**p about it, call it names, find ways to cheapen it ect. all in the name to save and preserve what you feel White people like yourself own the mighty rights too. Its called being threatend when something is new and different and NON-WHITE, and that is exactly what 'THE WIZ' is. You just wont do it because being who you are means that you will never be able to except or be willing to understand and open yourself up to anything new and different outside of your fenced in white world. God forbid if from here on out the movies only portray Jesus and Santa Claus as people of color. Lord only knows what the people here that hate THE WIZ so much would say about that. The Wizard of Oz is OUTSTANDING, and THE WIZ is just as MAGNIFICENT, and it STILL doesn't matter what any of you say that try to discredit or denounce it. PERIOD!

I also NEVER stated I thought 'THE WIZ' was better because it was Black actors so please do not put words in my mouth!
