Pricy ... look around, you`ll find all seasons under 20 $ w/ free shipping !

i used to be a huge fan of X files...
now im kinda far far away from watching an episode...
so, i'll give it a try when it comes out on DVD... (i was talking about the second movie)
about this, nah.

You can get all nine seasons of the show in the nice boxset that I got for like $200 or less, sometimes at $150, which is way less than I paid (I gave it as a xmas gift)...and believe me, those first two episodes of season one are GREAT, just EXCELLENT, you won't be dissappointed...
Yes, the show gets into the 'weird of the week', just like Smallville's 'freak of the week', but after season 2, those episodes are less and less...
One of the best shows ever made, no doubt about it...right now the cheapest is $230 and has all nine seasons and the movie...go for it...

I bet you when the sequel hits DVD, that's when Fox will pull out the SE for "Fight the Future."
I really enjoyed the series but haven't bothered to buy any of the sets (let alone the huge complete series box) -- I just have the nonanamorphic THX DVD of "Fight the Future".

huge x file fan here, i don't see how those 8 relate to each other at all, i can't wait to see the movie though
I wish they had an SE of the first film out for DVD.
last time this did this, they released a VHS in the UK (before the film opened) saying THIS IS THE FILE YOU HAVE TO SEE BEFORE THE FILM!
so i spent £15 on this, watched it, saw the film a few days later and guess what. No connection at all!
Man! I thought for sure that, not only with a new X-Files film, but it also being the 10th Anniversary of the first film, it was virtually a shoe-in that we would be getting a new Special Edition DVD of the first film. The DVD of the first film is okay, but considering it is now several years old, imagine what they could now, in terms of special features. As it is, I do not think I will be getting this release as I already own all seasons of the X-Files on DVD. Perhaps they will release a new DVD of the first film when the second film comes to DVD. I hope. If not, its a conspiracy I tell you!
I guess we will have to buy it and check out the episode intro's to see why these episodes were chosen
I have all 9 Season sets and as a big X-Phile I'm not really too excited about this Dvd. This seems more like something to bring in new fans before the new movie comes out. Both Post Modern Prometheus and Milagro had commentary's on the boxsets which are missing here.

Hmmm..... I wonder if all of those episdoes actually have to deal with the plot of the upcoming film, or are just some of Chris Carter's favorites that he picked. I dont think they deal directly with the movie since almost all of those episodes are "Monster of the Week" episodes.
i know this show well and i cant even imagine what the connection between these 8 and the new movie might be, and its bugging me. lol
the episodes themselves are all stand alone so i guess you COULD argue that one but...theres no similar theme or idea or anything to either of em.
even anyone smarter than i has figured it out, feel free to post your theories.

I agree, cool idea, but just a tad sneaky. They should just broadcast them.

I've never watched "The X-Files", and I want to start, but the seasons are a bit pricy... I might actually get this. And really cool cover art!
A nice idea, but it should be a budget release!
