Nice cover. This unforunately is a blind buy for me.
does anyone know when this is being released in the UK?
I think I may have stated this already, but is The Corpse Bride coming with the trailers?

The first part I agree with completely. I didn't get a sense that Depp's character was in love with his fiancee through one meeting in order to yearn for her as he did. I technically agree that this movie had nothing to say, but I don't hold that against it. I am a film elitist/snob and I love movies that have strong commentary, but this is just a simple animated movie. Of course all the great animated movies have nothing to say, but a "good" animated movie doesn't need to say anything.
I definitely agree that it lacked character development, and I'm a bit puzzled as to what the actual message is, too.
Oh, and did anyone else hate the ending?

I think that we can forgive Tim for making this, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (which was a sacrelige against the classic REAL movie), Planet Of The Apes, and Nightmare Before Christmas since he did make the first two Batman movies, Sleepy Hollow, and Beetlejuice.

Am I the only one who thought this movie was really really really boring. I just thought it was bad, it wasn't enjoyable at all. I don't mean to offend anyone when I say, it was a really shit movie. I like the cover though.
Cover's pretty. The movie really didn't made my day when I saw it. It was O.K., I wouldn't describe it $#!++y, but it was pretty dumb.

Sorry, but how can a movie that is too short lack story? Wouldn't that make it too long? No. When I say it lacked story I mean it was very shallow and forgettable.

Yet another in the long line of films my crappy theatre dropped after a week...can't wait to see this one.
Nice cover.

Lighting
The best thing this flick had going for it was the spectacular lighting. I have never before seen stop motion in such a good light (pun intended)

It was cute, too short, enjoyable, but less good than Nightmare before Xmas and james and the Giant Peach
I have no intention of watching this, but the concept is an obvious plagiarism of Merimee. He is dead, of course, but basic morals would dictate a posthumous credit. Of course, it's Hollywood...

I'm pretty sure it's you who doesnt know shit to claim this is the greatest animated movie of all time. How many animated movies have you seen? 3? This wouldn't even make the top 10.

I missed this at the theaters. I hope it is as good as "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
Count me in for a rental on this one.
This movie was NO Nightmare Before Xmas. Compeletely forgettable songs, no real character development, and just not as tight as the 1993 masterpiece. Still a very enjoyable Butonesque delight, though. Wonder when the R2 will be released?

I thought this movie was great, the length didn't bother me at all. Plus you have to take into account the amoun of time it takes to make a single frame of film in a stop motion animated film.
My DVD's
I heard it to took a week to film a minute of the movie. I also heard it took a week just to make one of the characters blink.

The movie's length did not bother me at all. I thought it was sweet and to the point. I loved the fact that it didn't have as many songs as Nightmare Before Christmas.
sweet!! this movie rocks!!
I thought this was a very fun film. The songs weren't up to par with Nightmare, but the flick was enjoyable nontheless.

Warner announced this one quickly. I like it that they're giving Burton Dolby EX tracks, Charlie & The Chocoloate Factory got an EX too. Why not just go DTS like the Batman re-releases?
Because Warner doesn't usually give DTS to movies when they're first released (except for the Renny Harlin "Exorcist" prequel).
As for the movie, I definitely preferred Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" over this. It's beautifully animated with some nice voice work, but the songs by Danny Elfman aren't catchy and it moved slowly in the beginning. I found the movie forgettable, but it certainly wasn't painful to watch.

Never saw it in theaters, but probably will rent it, although Depp looked too damn weird/creepy...
Awesome! I loved this movie. With all hopes, it wins the Animated Feature Oscar, but they will probably give it to Wallace & Gromit, which is also a good choice.
I hope theres some substantial special features, it was a great film
CORPSE BRIDE (2005)
I liked this film but it was very forgetable. I really dont remember anything that went on in it. But what I do remember I did like so I might pick this up but it depends on the price and if I'm in the mood. I also want to see what kind of Bonus Material Warner Bros. Pictures includes. I thought that would do the single-disc widescreen, fullscreen editions and then the 2-Disc Deluxe Edition, but it does not look like that will happen. If it is a 2-Disc then I would get it but I might pass on it if its just a regular DVD.
Decent artwork. I'll be seeing it soon.

I did enjoy it, but compared to Nightmare, it was a letdown. They probably should've either added a few more songs or cut them out all together.
Took the words out my mouth.

Awesome cover. Awesome movie.
Finally!
I've been waiting for Warner to announce this because I loved every part of this movie, and I also think that it was better than Nightmare. I really hope this wins the Oscar for best animated picture because it deserves it. Predictable yet great coverart, I can't wait!
