I love both BIG and That Thing You Do. So they're both a "must" buy!
Good to see Big being given a decent treatment though. "Audio documentary" is a new one on me - I'm not sure I've seen anything like that before. Awful artwork mind.
Tom looks really creepy on the Big cover
Love both these films, got a soft spot for That Thing You Do in particular. 39 minutes on top of the reasonably short running time should have more of an impact than when any of the Lord of the Rings films were extended.
That's some considerable time-30 and 40 minutes added.Agreed,it will change the films a lot, more than it did LOTR.But if they improve the movie even by just a little(like LOTR)it would already be a big thing.I'm buying, too bad no BD version is anounced of as yet.
Awful covers. And I'm curious to know what those 25 extra minutes of "Big" contain.
The 25 and 39 extra minutes put other 'extended editions' (five minutes?, seven minutes?) to shame...
Yeah, at least these aren't bull double-dips. These are truly extended. . . even though I could care less, lol.
At least everyone can't b***h about these titles. Nothing lame, just "extended edition".
I wish studios would release all of the rejected covers as well...I am simply curious.

at least they aren't the 'THE BIGGER EDITION' and 'THE ONEDERFUL EXTENDED SET'
I'll be picking up Big, its a classic. I hope the extended scenes dont hurt the film. Should be cheap on release day.
I've read on other news sites that the theatrical cuts are included (via seamless branching). I hope that's still the case.
the best extended edition dvd I ever bought was for Daredevel. It was 25 extra minutes and it made it a much better film. The extended version was rated R......Plus had sub plots about police corruption and good courtroom scene with Coolio
I'm not big on extended versions. "Unrated" or "Director's Cut" I like, but adding the deleted scenes into the movie I don't like (Pretty Woman).
I'll pick up Big, but won't be letting go of my original DVD either, depending on wether this DVD has original version or not.

I love both of these movies and will definitely pick them up but I hope you mean they are widescreen, enhanced for 16x9.
Would love it if it's true that the theatrical cuts are also included via seamless branching.

Hahahaha! Those titles are AWESOME.
I'm not sure whether I'm joking...and that frightens me a bit.

Oh My god,I Hope Big has the alternate ending where the girl(Who also uses the Zoltar Machine) shows up in Josh's classroom!!!! (Sounds strange but look it up on IMDB.com)
LOL, my sister almost bought TTYD last week but the disc was loose in the case so she didn't. It looked like a low quality release anyway. I told her that they may re-release it with a better transfer and maybe an extended cut, and I was right! I love being right. I won't tell her about it and just get it for her the day of release.
These look like top-notch releases that for once earns the title of "extended cut." I will probably buy Big for me and TTYD for my sister.
I'm not too crazy about the cover arts, though.

Where's the DVD of "The 'Burbs: More Burbing Edition"?
The Burbs wasn't a huge hit. So don't look for a special editin of that. However TTYD wasn't a huge hit but since TOM HANKS wrote and directed it I am sure FOX wants to make TOM happy.

No, "The 'Burbs: The Pinocchio Edition."

Let's hope other studios are positively influenced by these.
It will be weird to watch "Big" again (one of the greatest movies of all time) with new scenes.

Give me Bachelor Party Edition.

I know. It's one thing to watch recent films that you've only seen a couple of times get re-released with extra footage, but when it's something you've grown up with and you see it get changed... kinda surreal really. I guess everyone who grew up with the original Star Wars trilogy can remember 1997 and now what I'm talking about here.
Still, hopefully the scenes will add to the films! Would love to see them both to be honest.

When can we expect an extended edition of "Mazes & Monsters?" It was truly Tom Hanks at his best.
Big; one of my favorite movies of all time. Big's cover; one of my least favorites of all time (right up there with "Oh God!"
.
Also according to other sites, That Thing You Do has a commentary with the entire band and Liv Tyler...no Hanks though.
Tom Hanks looks so Big on that Big DVD cover.
That Thing You Do I'm presuming is anamorphic. I have a soft-spot for that film. Just brings me back to high school. Everybody got into this movie and that song in my high school. Ah, nostalgia.
