Do people actually sit there and stare at covers? I see mine for what, 30 seconds every now and then when I take a disc off of the shelf and put it back after I've watched it. For me the main appeal of physical media is that it has superior quality and doesn't rape my bandwidth.

Yes there are some of us "movie collectors" that really appreciate a great cover artwork.

I wonder will all versions on the Triple Play be the remastered version? Not sure about the red banner either I'll half-expect a HD DVD inside....
I can't get used to covers without certificates, they're just part of the package now. The few imported titles I have just don't look right.

Yes, there are. I value the things I own. Cover arts exist for a reason: to attract potential buyers - and after one has bought them, a fine front art makes one feel like having the thing nearby.
I agree, cover art does make me love a product a little bit more but asked what the last good cover for a DVD or Blu-ray was. I'm stumped. There's some pretty steelbook designs I guess but generally all covers are pretty terrible.
There's a store here in Melbourne that's filled with imported USA Blu-rays. Every time I step into the place and browse, the temptation to own them is incredibly strong. They have such gorgeous slimline cases and the artwork, front and back, is usually far more appealing than the local or UK versions.
You should see some Australian covers. The rating logo is so large it can often obscure key parts of the artwork.
Why excuse something if it sucks? I call it as I see it.

I care about the covers as well. I hate c**ppy covers, especially those godawful photoshopped ones that have been big for the past decade. I miss the covers of old that were a work of art. Fully painted and all is the way to go for me.

You lot sound like my Mrs - making purchasing decisions based on how pretty the box is. I jest or course. Or do I?
So no porting over of previous special features? Such as the commentaries?

Do you really want that Arnold commentary? Well, I guess it is great for a laugh.

I hate our Australian ones too.
Don't the morons that release these things realise that in the digital age, where everything can be downloaded, one of the main appeals of physical media is the aesthetic of the packaging?
The USA covers are sooooo much nicer.
I'm off to Amazon.com.
