I like how Optimus is the main focus for the artwork to these movies and he's usually got, what, like 20 minutes of screen time at the most?

i personally loved this movie but im not getting the 2D Bluray combo pack ill be getting the 3D Bluray Version becuase i saw it in 3D in theaters and loved the 3D so yeah thats my opinion
hey is this 7.1? heard the sound guys say this was their first Bay movie they mixed in 7.1, so will the blu ray follow suit?
say what you want about Bay, his movies are always great for showing off your overpriced home theater system

Movie gets released 9/30 - movie only.. if you want the deluxe edition, all the extras, 3D version - that'll come out in the next few months..
As for me - I'll rent it.

nice, tbh i like the transformers movies, granted they are not quality films by any means, but damn are they fun i think. I will definately pick this up. Too bad paramount is going for the double dip, but at least they did us the courtesy of announcing there would be deluxe versions and a 3D bluray in a couple months when they announced this. Better than announcing the others after people put up money for this one.
Though i find it peculiar after upgrading from Dolby TrueHD 5.1 on the first film to DTS-HD MA 5.1 on the second, it seems odd they are releasing this with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 as opposed to DTS-HD MA 7.1, but either way, will be nice to have a 7.1 track.

2-Disc or 3-Disc?
God, another one? The first was enough for me.
Transformers: The Dark of the Moon
aka You came for Shia, right?
GOD, this movie. While Transformers 2 holds a special place in my heart for the movie having the worst taste in every story telling category known in entertainment history, this movie ticked me off even more. Why? Unlike Transformers 2, this film had a finished script that wasn't written during a writer's guild strike. So with nothing to hold them back and the writing talent not on strike, the product we get is the same freaking movie as the last one. The twins aren't gone, they're replaced. The story still thinks we care about Shia Labuckfugde, and they still think that young kids will enjoy gay/crotch jokes such as "Deep Wang".

So now studios will be releasing special features only on the 3D versions? Regular Blu-rays get no love now? F**k that s**t.
I ain't paying 30 bucks for a barebones movie, I have internet for that.
The movie itself? Saw it twice the same day, enjoyed it, better than TF2, but still no masterpiece. Michael Bay still can't direct anything other than a lingerie comercial.

I'll get the DVD since neither release has extras
Wasn't too big a fan of the second one. Might give it a rent.

Yes, the Blu will include the 7.1 mix. Bay had the sound mixer supervise the home theater mix, and apparently both Blu and DVD releases will have 5.1 Discrete Dolby Digital and English 2.0 Discrete Surround tracks.
I might spring for the combo pack, since apparently the DVD in that one won't drop all the dub tracks.

3D?
I saw it in 3D at the IMAX, and honestly you really aren't missing anything. I said to myself after "Avatar" that I would never do another 3D movie, but I decided to give Transformers 3 a shot, and NEVER AGAIN!!! I'm just not impressed with it, and after awhile those glasses just get on my last nerve. Never again. Not even with the upcoming "Avengers", or "The Dark Night Rises". NEVER AGAIN!!!
They're not making "The Dark Knight Rises" in 3D, nor "The Avengers." Ease up, sonny.
Liked it better then the second and will buy the BR. Don't know how anyone can say worse movie of the year when plenty of movie reviewed lower by critics and viewers alike.
Not the best story and not expecting it to be. It was a good movie for the robot battles.
So he can release 1 and 2 on 2 disc dvds but screw everybody on the final movie what the hell is wrong with him and the studio .
seriously guys? did u fail to note the part about a deluxe edition coming out with tons of special features a few months later? Not just for the 3D version, there will be a deluxe 2D DVD & BD aswell, so i dont know what everyone is complaining about no two disc set for, they clearly stated a deluxe edition will follow in a few months
Garbage filmmaking at its finest. I have friends who actually like this trash and they call it "the best action movie ever."
It says this although director Michael Bay has promised "an even more incredible release that will include the film on Blu-ray 3D and loads of bonus features" at a later date
It doesn't say anything about a 2 disc dvd set all it says is stupid 3D c**p which I can't watch because it gives me a headache and dizziness

Ahh the quest for more money - aka the double dip.
They should have had all the extensive extras for the 2D version, too....

Saw this and thought it was terrible -- it's not good, just terrible.

Really? just terrible?
Terrible movies would be, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Just Friends, Waiting..., all starring Anna Faris. The girl is funny, but don't rip on the transformers movies and call them terrible when you like Anna Faris's body of work.
I enjoy the Transformer movies for what they are, big, alien robots kicking ass. If I want depth, I'll go watch The Kings Speech. To each his own, everyone likes what they like. That's what I love about this world. Someone liked this movie, it made 350 million in the USA. You wanna talk flops, Mars Needs Moms flopped.

Then don't waste your money on it. Personally really enjoyed all 3 and will buying the 3d release when it arrives. Maybe some people just go I with to high expectations. After all it is a Michael Bay film!
I only wasted my money on it because I semi-enjoyed the first and thought this movie would live up to it. Everyone said it was a thousand times better than the second and the best. If I knew I was going to hate this movie, I wouldn't have spent my money on it.
