We've attached our first look at the official package artwork below:

Quote: TRANSFORMERS: THE JAPANESE COLLECTION – Headmasters
Optimus Prime lives again, the energy of the Matrix has been released and peace reigns on Cybertron . . . but all that is about to change with the startling arrival of the newest breed of Transformers warriors
Quote: TRANSFORMERS: THE JAPANESE COLLECTION – Super-God Masterforce
Following their victory over the DESTRONS (a/k/a DECEPTICONS) at the end of Headmasters, the CYBERTRONS (AUTOBOTS) depart Earth, leaving behind only a small group to protect the planet from any future menace. But when the powerful DESTRONS return to an unsuspecting planet, the CYBERTRONS must come out of hiding to defend their human friends once again — only this time they’ll be unable to do it on their own!
Quote: TRANSFORMERS: THE JAPANESE COLLECTION – Victory
Victory is the third and final installment of this Japanese trilogy— introduces four new factions to the TRANSFORMERS universe. Each group comes equipped with its own unique power and the ability to combine to form much larger, more powerful TRANSFORMERS, making each and every battle even more epic!

This series kicks. The theme music for the three series make the American one seem like childs lay. Also, I just looked on Amazon.com and they don't have it registered as a product for pre-order. Where are we supposed to order this DVD? Please let me know which sites to order this?
Love Transformers and have never seen the Japanese version, but I'll have to pass on this. I can't justify reading 42 hours worth of subtitles with my limited eyesight. Had English dubs been included, this would've been a guaranteed purchase hands down.
well the show was rare in that its never been aired or released in any home video format in north america. the only way we could see these was to get bootleg videos and then i'm guessing you can find them online these days but its the first time we get an actual real and official release. well of course they released Headmasters on its own last year but that was supposed to be the precursor to this set coming shortly after only it was delayed for some reason.
too bad they're subtitled though. i've often read that the UK aired a dubbed version and regardless how bad the dub might have been (apparently it was lol) i'd still rather deal with that. but Shout is a small company so i get that they probably couldnt afford to get the rights to that version. least people wont have to search ebay for terrible bootlegs if they dont want. lol

I'm not sure I'd say these series are rare as I found them years ago on the net but they are quality gems of Transformer (or should I say "Fight! Super-Robot life form") goodness. However, It's nice that they've been released as one box set in time for Christmas. I dig them, it's great Japanese anime with Transformers... how can that go wrong? Ok, I'll be honest first time I watched an episode I was like WTF. In true Japanese nature they've adopted and changed something that wasn't broken, much like the Bay films. It's more like Power rangers with ninja-esque fight scenes, huge robots and even bigger explosions. It's a win win, these are a must for all Transformers fans. Transform and roll out!
