it's alot cheaper then this one.
...and it probably comes with a parrot and an eyepatch as bonus extras too.
And tharrr be correct, matey!
If it is, then it has extremely detail oriented artists and equipment to create the packaging. I have the 'Tin Box' version, and the quality is no less than any of the other releases out there. Serious money went into the packaging and printing, and it is not some cheap knockoff low quality stuff.
Pirate or not, it's quality is just as good if not better than the 'official' stuff, and for a small fraction of the price.

I just can't help thinking how smaller that massive box would be if they used thinpack cases. Oh, well.

Cool - a price drop would be nice, but I don't have any of these except the old movie dvd, so a purchase is required at some point I think!
awsome yeah is there a region one in the works I would deffintly buy this if it came our for R1
And a load of other problems I covered din my review. Wait for the new R1 SE from Sony.

btw: hi, i'm kinda new

It's the same cut of the movie just remastered so you get, a sharper, brighter picture, 5.1surround and the full image the animator's drew...Though you do end up with a black frame all around the picture.

But has anyone noticed that according to the pictures above the effigies of Prime and Galvatron both occupy the same panel of the box?
LOL good spot Matt :-)
Also, I think its a bit of a wasted oppertunity tonot have a huge Autobot/Decepticon sign across the spines of the DVDs since I'm pretty sure they are available seperately and therefore would encourage people to buy them all.

I would definitely splurge on a R1 version
Bit pricey. Glad I already have seasons 1 and 2 (both boxes) on DVD and am just waiting for 3 and 4 to fall in price. Which this should trigger nicely :-)

Huh...I to might bite on this set if a R1 version comes along.
Nice...I imagine Sony will be releasing something similar in R1 sometime in the near future. I missed out on getting all of the episodes when Rhino released the series and now it'd cost an arm and a leg to complete what I do have. Hopefully they'll improve on the Rhino sets too since they were lacking in certain areas.
