Well since I already own the series when it first came out I may pass. But as a fan it looks like a great set.

Bout friggin time. Wasn't willing to shell out over 50 bucks for the out of print dvd set.
It is about time.
Love Shout Factory. They've been doing a great job with the Mystery Science Theater 3000 license they pciked up last Fall. Hopefully they'll do this justice as well.
Cool, will add it to my collection.
i like how they used the grid in the background, makes it match the old toy boxes from the 80s.

Same here, although mine is a beutifully created (avast ye matey) pirate copy, of the complete series, from e-bay. If I did not already have it, I would totally be getting it, and all following volumes.
Great artwork, too.

1984 what a fine year.
Ok, I'm deaf person and I'm not going to buy this because they didn't put Closed Captions.
I recently bought Super Mario Bros Volume 1 box set and there were no closed captions.
I've always want to buy Super Mario Bros, Zelda and Sonic box sets but NO CLOSED CAPTIONS! It's not that hard to add CC on those.
That is the reason why I refuse to support Shout! Factory. I'm sorry but I really hate Shout! Factory.

Ultraman, I would email/contact Shout Factory about the lack of captions. There still a relatively small outfit, may actually listen, and may do something about it. Just a thought.
So, I'm guessing this is the remastered re-release they were teasing fans with, way back, when the Transformers: The Movie Anniversary Edition came out? I'll happily scoop this up on release day, since I never touched the older release.
I have been waiting for this for so long ! Along with Thundercats, COPS, Bravestarr, Jayce And The Wheeled Warriors, and Silverhawks, this was one of my favourite shows when I was a kid. I just hope they re-release seasons of Silverhawks.
Looks good but most fans would already have the box sets...
Did Shout actually do a new mastering? Since Rhino screwed it up by using the wrong video elements and unforgiveably adding in stupid, pointless extra sound effects without the option of original broadcast audio (which is only available in season 3, which was lousy).
Anyone know if this is made from the same source, with all the coloring errors like the last DVD releases? Those errors were were supposedly fixed before the episodes aired.
