Quote: The doorbell rings, the cry goes out: Trick ’R Treat! But, wait. What’s actually going on during this ghostly All Hallows Eve? Something eerie and unexpected. Something splattered and spooky. Something that brings ghouls, vampires and werewolves into the night. Answer the door – a shocking surprise awaits.
From producer Bryan Singer (director of X-Men and Superman Returns) and writer-director Michael Dougherty (co-scripter of X2 and Superman Returns) comes a multitale bag of wicked yarns, four cleverly interlocked stories built on Shocktober admonitions like always check the candy and don’t extinguish the jack-o-lantern before midnight. So answer the door now: Experience horror made for today’s fright fan.

Well they finally realesed it(rember the trailer from the "300" DVD).
never heard of it.... but the cover has caught my interest...
Day one buy for me, definitely! I've been waiting for this for years! Finally! Just a few more months now...
It's a new trend with Warner. Extras only on the Blu-ray. They're doing the same with the release of Observe & Report.
finally, heard lots of good things about this - BR 4 me ...
Good thing they finally bring this one out. Now let's dig deep and bring out Margaret as well please.....
Will have to import, waited for too long now.
This is absolutely perfect! My birthday is in mid-October and I can pick this up. What a great deal. Although, I'm not sure if I'll have enough money because I'm buying Drag me to hell BD, Orphan BD, Transformers: Revenge of the fallen BD, and Up B-D. But, if I have enough money I'll pick it up.

Not to be a jerk, but it really irks me that people protest at the lack of extras on the DVD. DVD's have been around for almost ten years, people could have saved up their money for Blu-ray. I know the economy sucks, but that's how life and technology is. That's almost like saying, Excuse me? My iPod shuffle has no videos on it? Also, be content that this DVD has at least an extra, as opposed to recent Warner home releases that have zero such as Observe and Report and 17 again.

First off, that was rude. Second, you might have the financial security to buy Blu-ray technology, but a lot of people don't. That's common sense. The average US citizen doesn't even own a BD player. People will buy BD players when they are financially stable. You can't put a timeline on that.

Jeez finally! I saw the trailer for this on my 300 DVD!

I know, they are starting to put more features on the Blu-Ray in an ongoing effort to make people go Blu-Ray. I have a player, so I don't have to worry.

I think I remember hearing about this movie a while back.
Just in time for Halloween. Didn't see that coming. This never got a theatrical release did it?

I apologize for being so harsh, it's just that on almost every board I go to, I hear the same thing. When I went on the Observe and Report board, what do I hear? Hardly any extras. When I went on the 17 again board, what do I hear? Hardly any extras. When I went on the F13 board, what do I hear? Hardly any extras. What do I hear on this board? Hardly any extras. I completely understand that people might not have the money to upgrade, but they can at least be considerate and stop sounding like a broken record. We get it, people don't have the money to upgrade and are tired of minimal to zero extras on DVD's. But please, don't beat the dead horse. Again, I apologize sincerely for being rude, but I was just tired of hearing the exact same comments from different boards.

I'm getting sick of this constant fellatioing of Bluray, and yes, I created an account just to say this because I'm getting annoyed at this favoring of Bluray over DVD. You used the iPod shuffle as your example, so let's continue with that. People bought the iPod shuffle knowing full well its capabilities and limitations, so no, no one out there is complaining that they can't get videos on their shuffle. DVDs have been around for far longer than ten years, and the capabilities of having special features has always been there and has always been implemented. Don't start acting like people should just quiet their disappointment at the current lack of features on DVDs, because why now? Oh, because there's a better, more expensive technology, let's try to nudge out all of these people who have given BILLIONS to studios buying them? There is absolutely no reason all of the features listed on this Bluray--on a movie I've been waiting for TWO YEARS to see--can't fit on a DVD. Warner Bros. thinks they can make extra money buy forcing people to buy Bluray, but really all they're doing is alienating the DVD buyers of the world. And people like you just line up and lay your money down, and you have the audacity to complain about consumers voicing their disapproval of being shafted. DVDs still make up over 80% of all studio profit on the home video market, so your precious Bluray technology isn't as popular as you think.

Day 1 buy for me! CAN'T WAIT!
I'm really looking forward to this one. But it p*sses me off that Warner Bros. didn't release it theatrically in October. What a wasted opportunity! It would have done well for sure. There was no gamble here. Plus, I've heard great things about it. I just don't know what they were thinking. I work at a video store and have had so many people ask for this movie since the trailer was on the 300 DVD a few years ago. I sure hope my store gets a good amount of copies of this movie.
Anyway, the cover art is very nice. I'm excited I'll be able to finally see it. What a fantastic month October will be this year to be a horror fan (this, and the two best horror movies I've seen all year - Drag Me To Hell and Orphan).

About time WB!!!

WB should have really sent this to theaters.
They screwed over: Spring Breakdown, The Hills Run Red and now Trick 'r Treat.
Oh and did I mention they screwed over us fans by putting all those special features on the Blu-Ray and not the DVD. Thanks.

Well, it damn well should be. Did you complain this much when you had to switch from VHS? The first time something came out on DVD-only? I'll bet you didn't because you upgraded. So get off your ass and do it now. BD players have been sold for less than $100. Anybody that can't afford that shouldn't be buying new release DVDs; clearly you have some bigger needs.
The studios want Blu-ray to take over because there's tons of money to be made, the consumer SHOULD want BD to take over because it's a night and day difference over DVD. I have numerous friends that don't have a player yet, but they've already switched to buying BD because they're obviously going to buy a player as soon as they can, so they don't see the point of buying DVD. Just sit back and let it happen.
And the verb is fellating.

From the ten or so mins. I watched of this movie. It was shaping up to be pretty awesome.
Blu-Ray won't be taking over for me. I spent too much money on my DVD collection.
It doesn't have to replace your collection. I have 1300+ DVDs and I'm sure not replacing all of them. But it can certainly improve the quality of what you collect from now on.
I really want to see this! but IDK if I should get the DVD or BD.
