Magnolia Home Entertainment will be releasing TrollHunter for Blu-ray Disc and DVD on August 23rd. This Norwegian fantasy horror and mockumentary follows a group of students as they attempt to film a bear poacher, unbeknownst to them, the bear isn't quite a bear. As far as extra features go, there will be a making-of, a featurette, deleted scenes and a trailer. For those interested, a trailer can be viewed here and we have covers for both editions below.

i REALLY liked this movie! even though i have hand held/1st person POV fatigue, i loved this movie. the troll CGI fx were excellent as was the acting by all the players involved! i highly recommend this movie. and the ending isn't a "Hollywood" ending which surprised me and left me a tad haunted (at what transpires in the last remaining minutes/seconds of the film).

It looks like a fun enough movie, but I wish that the trailer weren't trying to convince me it was the next Schindler's List. Really, the trailer keeps saying that it's, like, the most important piece of celluloid on the planet.
Fun movie for sure. Good write up. Finally nice to see it make the new DVD releases 2011 list like some show http://www.filmcrave.com/dvd_new.php. Can't wait to see it.

haven't seen the movie or trailer but knowing the type of movie it is. maybe they're just trying to stay "in universe" by saying that stuff. so they arent saying the actual movie is so important, they're saying actual real footage of trolls is important...you know? i could be wrong of course but it would make sense. lol
