I've been waiting to see John Carpenter's "Someone's Watching Me!" for years. Thank god someone had the sense to finally release it.

How bizarre to think otherwise.
Since the movie DID bomb on its initial release and has become scarcely known DEFINITELY makes it non-mainstream! How bizarre for YOU to think otherwise. If it was as "mainstream" as you say, there would've already been countless releases of it on DVD. However, this is the second, after the first DVD release has been out of print for years now and has all but vanished. And look at the description, it says, "The Cult Favorite!". How can it be mainstream if it's considered a "cult" film? That's right, it can't. The term cult implies a level of obscurity to the film. So, NO it is NOT mainstream horror.

Eye's of A Stranger at last! I hope it's uncut as I remember seeing this film at the cinema in the UK and it was obviously cut. It actually looks a decent set of lesser known films with big names attached. I seem to remember having seen them all at one time or another.
From Beyond the Grave as well - That's an elemental on your shoulder!

A couple of gorgeous covers there!

Maybe in your area it was, but over here barely anyone knows it exists. Mainstream movies are well known, "Dr. Giggles" is not. It bombed way back in '92 and was forgotten fast.

It was as mainstream as any "Nightmare on Elm Street" flick! Pick up a dozen copies to rent in your local video shop!
It was achingly mainstream! And a perfect example of how c**p 90's American horror was.

I agree. I don't like the cover for Deadly Friend at all. I still own Deadly Friend on VHS and the cover is much better. Warner definately should've stuck with that one. I'm gonna get it regardless though because it'll be nice to finally own it on DVD.

wasn't this batch of releases supposed to include Twlight Zone the Movie - or have I just gone mad with the waiting?
"Dr. Giggles" was never mainstream.
"Deadly Friend" and "Dr.Giggles" are the bottom of the barrel pits of American mainstream horror!
Saw The Hand as a kid, spooky, might not be know though! Dont want the others.
Boy, do those covers stink!

As for the movies themselves, we're only really interested in Deadly Friend and From Beyond The Grave. What with Tales From The Crypt & The Vault Of Horror being released in October, 2007 is going to be a great year for Amicus fans like us!

Nice covers...but why the two fingers on the Deadly Friend cover?
WAY over priced for BAD B horror c**p
I just want the Hand.
Is "Dr. Giggles" in widescreen this time?
William Coffey is right, it was Universal..what happened there? but its interesting how Dr. Giggles is the only one (i think) that's kept the original title font and pretty much the original poster.
Dr. Giggles?! That's a Universal picture!
Or did they dump the rights to the first sucker who sniffed 'em?

I will definately be picking up Deadly Friend. It's one of my favorite horror films from the 80's and it's nice to see that it is finally getting a DVD release.
Not a big fan of horror but I will definitely have to check out Oliver Stones The Hand. Especially when it hits the $5 bin.
Not long before these are all in the 5.00 bin, I bet. But for horror buffs, it looks like a lot of really cool cult stuff here. I know my friend is a fan of Deadly Friend, and I myself have blatantly ripped off Doctor Giggles for The Abominable Doctor Torture.
woohoo deadly friend is finally coming....that movie is classic 80s cheese awesomeness..lol
and kristy swanson....HOT

Nice...been looking forward to The Hand getting a release and some of the others ain't bad either. Excellent news and the actual price folks will pay in store should make the average price per movie right around $7.
