This will just be a rental for me. I'll wait until the unrated version comes out, then I'll buy it. I remember with the original Underworld, it was only a matter of months when they announced the unrated version so I'm expecting the same with this one.

Neat. I loved the sequel more that I loved the first film. I'll get a copy of the sequel and the douple dip edition for sure.
We need extended additional Kate's nudy scene to sell me this.
I liked "Underworld" but did not love it. I want to check out "Underworld: Evolution" because it looked like a stronger film and I heard it was. Seems to have a decent DVD so I might just pick up both when the sequel is released on DVD.
I'll probably wait for the Blu-ray with this one.

You won't be waiting long. Rumor has it that it will be released the same day

This was a very entertaining movie. If you liked the first one, you'll love the sequal. I'll be getting this for sure.
I loved this film!!! Best of 06 so far!
I can't wait for the artwork.

Best of 06? Boy are your views misguided. When you have films like Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada and Thanks For Smoking out there, this is bottom of the barrel studio trash. Even if you are looking at mainstream films, look at the recent V For Vendetta and The Inside Man. Two very good entertaining movies that blow this trash out of the water.

I'll be very surprised if a single blue ray player is available by June.

A little harsh there Kaya. Technically, Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada is a 2005 movie (it showed in both NY and LA) and Thank You for Smoking is in limited release. I know that it is showing up for release here in my small Florida town around Mid-April.

Haven`t seen it yet, but will be getting it. If it was only for the sake of the completement of my collection
very disapointing movie
Loved this movie, too bad this couldnt have been released on my birthday instead of that c**pfest known as Bloodrayne...
This film had some really neat action scenes and some much better dialogue than the first. I love both of these movies equally, and Kate is just too friggin hot..
I hope they release an Unrated Extended Cut with similar packaging as they did for the first. I will buy this on June 6th and let that tide me over til the Unrated edition comes out...
This is my favorite movie of the year so far, but I've only seen two 2006 movies, the other being Inside Man, which was EXCELLENT, but this is my fave for the year so far...

Artwork added...
Impressed with the art.
The Artwork reminds me of Ridd**k...
Underworld was one of the worst movies ever made. This looks even worse.
YAYSERS!!! Cant wait loved it!! but I willmost likley buy the rated version when it comes out along with the unrated later!! I am a sucker for things like that!
I loved the first one but it was kinda slow I wish it had more actin but maybe thats why they made this definately seeing it! maybe a blindbuy I dont really care for the bonuses!
Im like the artwork... Its not great but its cool.
Great artwork. They should have gone with a variation of the second poster though.
That cover is pretty snazzy. I was hoping they would incorporate the poster in there some how. Might just blind buy it... mabey
I'm 99% certain this will get an "Unrated" version within 6 months of release. I will rent this one 1st.
Beautiful artwork... although I won't buy it. I've tried watching the first one and got bored out of my mind, and this looks like more of the same.
That artwork is too frigging SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.
Makes me excited about what they will do for the artwork for the Unrated Extended Cut...
And Kempay is right, it is very reminiscent to The Chronicles of Ridd**k...

Totally agree with you there, that art was used for the Original Score...
Hopefully they use that image on the Unrated one with the clear plastic slip case...that would be awesome.

These movies are pretty good if one judges them within their genre, otherwise they're pretty bad. Evolution was better than the first on many levels, because of a bit bigger budget, better action, story and acting. The DVD sounds pretty good but there will most likely be a 2-Disc Unrated on the way. The artwork isn't bad (It would look better if they left in the snow) but they should have used the artwork for the score's soundtrack(check it out if you haven't seen it. It is superior) Eitherway I'm going to get this when it comes out.
That stinks. I guess I'll have to wait another 4 months for the 2 disc unrated edition. Good movie though. I enjoyed it more than the first one.

I agreed with you there, until I read an article today about Toshiba releasing HD-DVD players in April to compete with the Blu-Ray launch in June. I would still doubt how many new format dics we will see in June (as in this one), but it's worthy of note--
if anyone is interested in all that, I saw the article here: http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/...
on topic, I liked the first one and haven't seen the second. is it worth a blind buy?

Why? Because they are different then your views? Thanks for being such a douche.
Anyway, I'll wait for the obvious unrated version 6 months later.
