Still wish this was being released 2 weeks earlier on my birthday rather than the horrid looking Bloodrayne...
Kate is still smoking hot, especially in the trailers for CLICK.

I saw this movie twice at the theater and can't wait for the DVD. I wish the Lycans vs. Vampires story wasn't so downplayed in the sequel, but otherwise I really enjoyed the movie. Love the artwork. I'll also agree with several others posters that Kate Beckinsale is smokin' hot in this movie.
yeah, the art's neat, I liked the first film, I guess i'll like the sequel

but i'm still not going to say good-byd to my be-loved 'dvd' though haha!!I would wait a year or so - just wait till the "war" settles down. More than likely by then the releases that are being put out now will be in the cheapie bin by then...

I`m really liking that cover. The film`s still not better than the first!

Oh, I get it now...you don't like Vampire movies...period.
I don't care for the gorey horror Vampire flicks, but the Blade and the Underworld series, I really dig. Why? I guess it's the comic booky feel, unlike the gorefests of old where there's just vampires doing what they do best to an unsuspecting crowd of teenagers.

i adored this movie. WAY better then the first. Kate Beckinsale was so hot in this movie, its practically illegal. I love that woman.
this movie is a keeper for me. I dont know if they're release an extended edition like the first one. so I'm hesitating to get this dvd, but the movie was awsome. and I am getting the dvd. either this one or the extended one.

Blu Ray
Any idea where I can read more about it? Thanks Bob
It's one of the two next generation formats that support more anvanced features, the other format is HD DVD.
Blu ray?
Don't want to seem ignorant but what is blu ray?
i was just looking at the cover and noticed something that will forever bug me....you can only see the silver part of her guns, cant see the rest of the actual guns...it looks like two silver chocolate bars or something lol
great movie!! don't care for the packaging though...
Kate Beckinsale stars in "Blade Recycled."
PS: My 2 cents on this sequel

P.S. Kate is the best thing since sliced bread. Brit babes rule.
RIGHT!! My favorite Kate Beckinsale movie is Serendipity, good God she's so darn sexy in that...she would have been so much hotter to me in Van Helsing if it weren't for her "amazing" ever-morphing accent throughout the whole movie.
She is definitely in my Top 3 of my Hottest Actress List, along with Angelina Jolie and Rachel McAddams.

clearly you don't know what you're talking about if you think the Blade movies were trash, with the obvious exception of Blade Trinity.
I think all 3 Blade movies are good, but I prefer the feud between vampires and lycans more. I'm not a big fan of horror flicks, and the Underworld movies don't really fit the bill for the horror genre. Sure they are beings from horror films, but these are more action/plot driven than scary.
I can't wait for the announcement of Underworld 3, I loved how this one ended...

Is there guaranteed to be an unrated Extended Edition? Because I remember last time it was announced at the same time or at least before the release of the theatrical version. Can anybody confirm the unrated Extended Edition?
i started watching the first one and I stopped the dvd (borrowed of course)and I don't think this one will be good (i saw the begining at the theater I work, nice colors on the cover!
The artwork looks great, but it should be snowing, just like in the one sheet.

I loved the first movie but I never got the chance to see this in theatres so, glad this is coming out. Except now I don't know if I should wait for the extended version or just get this one. Grrrrr.

Blade is so cool
I agree. Blade 1 and 2 beet the hell out of Underworld and Evolution. But Blade Trinity was absolute junk, and both Underworld films were better than it.

The Plot was idiotic
I really want to see this, okay/bad artwork. The R2 will be different so... yay, go me lol. They just need to change the head of Kate to a different pic, that's what it is.

Even though the the first was bogged down with some bad dialogue and some really dry spots, the movie was stunning visually and had an awesome story. Despite the flaws with dialogue, the action and the story made up for those and it is a very enjoyable movie.
The action in Evolution is almost non-stop and contains some really awesome scenes with better dialogue. This movie was much more enjoyable than the first, but both are very good in my opinion.
And I've learned that people either really love these movies or they really hate them, there is no in between...

im so getting this one, it's a long time you guys to ths release, so I'm hanging on
We all knew the double dip was upcoming here...
I'll be buying it. I also like the cover, glad they didn't go with the scroe picture. It's a nice pic but I don't think it fit the feel of the movie.
Blu Ray smo Ray, unless you have a HI DEF tv with the RIGHT input, not all Hi Def Tv's, even $2000 don't have the port, there's not supposed to be RGB or S video outputs on these DVD players for copying purposes, Then Blu Ray is worthless for the average DVD watcher Who want's to pay over $1000 for a dvd player. Not me, I won't be upgrading over 600 dvd's to Blu Ray.
Now, to the movie, it was fun and entertaining. Great popcorn flick. Just wish the unrated extended would be released the same day.

Yeah, finally someone who has seen Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada. Its definately my favorite film of the year so far, along with V for Vendetta. To bad it got such a minimal release. Its an amazing film in the vein of Sam Peckinpah, and his film Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, which I consider one of the best films I have ever seen.

I really liked the original. Great action scenes and style, but Evolution annoyed me. It wasnt bad or anything, I just felt it didnt match up to the first, and I thought it would since I read some good stuff about it on various movie sites(IMDB). Ofcourse critics bashed it, but then again, they did the same to the first; so I gave it a shot. I came out of the theatre really disappointed and it was a rarety that the critics were actuallt right. Oh well, at least the cover art is nice. I'm sure fans of the film will be happy.

And what do you have to go on? If you didn't like the original, chances are that movies in this genre aren't your cup of tea.
I'm not a big vampire or werewolf fan, but I really dug the original, and I can't wait to see the sequel.

Are you saying this is the best of 2006 so far? THE best film of the past three months, are you saying this?
Anyway, I'll wait for the obvious unrated version 6 months later.

I agreed with you there, until I read an article today about Toshiba releasing HD-DVD players in April to compete with the Blu-Ray launch in June. I would still doubt how many new format dics we will see in June (as in this one), but it's worthy of note--
if anyone is interested in all that, I saw the article here: http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/...
on topic, I liked the first one and haven't seen the second. is it worth a blind buy?

That stinks. I guess I'll have to wait another 4 months for the 2 disc unrated edition. Good movie though. I enjoyed it more than the first one.
These movies are pretty good if one judges them within their genre, otherwise they're pretty bad. Evolution was better than the first on many levels, because of a bit bigger budget, better action, story and acting. The DVD sounds pretty good but there will most likely be a 2-Disc Unrated on the way. The artwork isn't bad (It would look better if they left in the snow) but they should have used the artwork for the score's soundtrack(check it out if you haven't seen it. It is superior) Eitherway I'm going to get this when it comes out.

Totally agree with you there, that art was used for the Original Score...
Hopefully they use that image on the Unrated one with the clear plastic slip case...that would be awesome.

That artwork is too frigging SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.
Makes me excited about what they will do for the artwork for the Unrated Extended Cut...
And Kempay is right, it is very reminiscent to The Chronicles of Ridd**k...

Beautiful artwork... although I won't buy it. I've tried watching the first one and got bored out of my mind, and this looks like more of the same.
I'm 99% certain this will get an "Unrated" version within 6 months of release. I will rent this one 1st.
That cover is pretty snazzy. I was hoping they would incorporate the poster in there some how. Might just blind buy it... mabey
Great artwork. They should have gone with a variation of the second poster though.
Im like the artwork... Its not great but its cool.
I loved the first one but it was kinda slow I wish it had more actin but maybe thats why they made this definately seeing it! maybe a blindbuy I dont really care for the bonuses!
YAYSERS!!! Cant wait loved it!! but I willmost likley buy the rated version when it comes out along with the unrated later!! I am a sucker for things like that!

The Artwork reminds me of Ridd**k...
Impressed with the art.

Loved this movie, too bad this couldnt have been released on my birthday instead of that c**pfest known as Bloodrayne...
This film had some really neat action scenes and some much better dialogue than the first. I love both of these movies equally, and Kate is just too friggin hot..
I hope they release an Unrated Extended Cut with similar packaging as they did for the first. I will buy this on June 6th and let that tide me over til the Unrated edition comes out...
This is my favorite movie of the year so far, but I've only seen two 2006 movies, the other being Inside Man, which was EXCELLENT, but this is my fave for the year so far...

A little harsh there Kaya. Technically, Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada is a 2005 movie (it showed in both NY and LA) and Thank You for Smoking is in limited release. I know that it is showing up for release here in my small Florida town around Mid-April.

I liked "Underworld" but did not love it. I want to check out "Underworld: Evolution" because it looked like a stronger film and I heard it was. Seems to have a decent DVD so I might just pick up both when the sequel is released on DVD.
We need extended additional Kate's nudy scene to sell me this.
Neat. I loved the sequel more that I loved the first film. I'll get a copy of the sequel and the douple dip edition for sure.
This will just be a rental for me. I'll wait until the unrated version comes out, then I'll buy it. I remember with the original Underworld, it was only a matter of months when they announced the unrated version so I'm expecting the same with this one.
