Didn't get a chance to see it. Will NetFlix it and probably buy it on Blu sometime down the road. I own the first two on Blu as well.
I am hoping they continue Selene's story, though. That's still up in the air, and it all depended on the success of this one.

yeah i was disappointed when they announced the 3rd movie would be a prequel, after the end of Evolution with Selene's new ability, i was really curious to see what would happen.

I was suprised they got Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy back for this. I guess it was crucial they did seeing as it was a prequel. I enjoyed the first two films, got them cheap on dvd a while ago so I will check this out at some point.
The first two films are very dark though, I wonder how well they and this would look on Bluray.

I thought it was really good, but too short (82 minutes).
Will buy on blu-ray

I heard Nighy loved playing Victor

the trilogy dvd set and blu-ray set has been confirmed and released at the same time as this
I can't believe how much Sony has buried this, it was completely gone from my multiplex in about six days. Shocking.

I was impressed with the transfers. I actually decided to upgrade those from DVD to Blu after I read on a few websites that they were both beautiful.

i guess it depends where you live, over here it just recently left regular theaters and is about to start playing in the cheap theaters.

I loved Rise of the Lycans. The sex scene was a little gratuitous, but then again so was the one in the first film. It was a fun little diversion, with plenty of action and a good amount of humor. The ending was great as well. If you haven't seen the film, I won't ruin it but it is pretty awesome. I will probably pick up the Blu-ray trilogy set. I was hoping for more special features and possibly an unrated cut though.

On the first Underworld, Sheen got dumped by Beckinsale during the filming. She left him for the director, Wiseman. That's why he was not in Evolution. Since neither Wiseman or Beckinsale were involved with this film, he agreed to come back.

I would love to see a sequel to the prequel (where everything would go downhill and set the stage for the story as we know it in teh first Underworld).
This movie was surprisingly good. Soundtrack was even better - I'd love to buy a trilogy, I've been waiting since the first one!
I was impressed with this. Definitely one of the better prequel treatments. Definite pick up.
This film was a lot of fun, mainly because of Sheen and Nighy, but I also do hope that they return to finish the Selene storyline with one more film. I'll probably buy this on DVD but I may get the blu-ray if a trilogy pack is released for a good price.
Sheen was awesome in this; his performance elevated this film far beyond what it would have been without him, and I can't understand for the life of me why he wasn't utilized in the ad campaign at all. I was truly surprised by how much I liked it. Here's hoping for good artwork.
Missed this at the theaters. I'm definitely buying this on Blu-ray to put right next to the first 2 Underworld movies.
LOVED this movie! it's as good as, if not BETTER THAN, the 1st 2. Rhona was amazing as Sonja, and Michael steals the show as Lucian. AWESOME movie!

Michael (LUCIAN) wasn't in EVOLUTION because Lucian had been killed in part 1 NOT because of the behind the scenes "soap opera". Michael Sheen is the consummate professional. he wouldn't brat out like that because of Len & Kate's hooking up.

As djblack said, Lucian's (Sheen) character was already dead from the first so there was no way for him to appear in Evolution. And wasn't he his own stand-in for his dead body in the 'autopsy' scene? Anyway, they were broken up BEFORE they started filming the first one. She suggested Sheen for the role of Lucian to Wiseman and they signed him on. There's no bad blood (no pun intended) between Beckinsale and Sheen despite her marrying Wiseman.

Yes!! I LOVED this movie! I cannot wait to own it. Bill Nighy was AWESOME.
Enjoyed this. Will buy on blu.

Movie theaters typically have to sign a 14-21 day contract to get to show a movie. That's why all the single screen theaters are gone because they can't survive by not showing a new movie every week.

I want my $7.50 and 2 hours of my life back! This movie was horrible. Spits on Romeo & Juliet. The acting was laughable too. I laughed out loud when the lead characters explained their reasoning for doing what they did. Because the story was just so complicated...
This movie is so bad it makes the two prior look fantastic.

best one in the series, hands down

I watched, in great pain I might add, the first one so I guess the third part could not be any worse. The producers of the original were so lazy that although everyone walked about talking in english there were stll signs featured in the movie written in hungarian where it was filmed. Poor, poor, poor.

Early artwork added for the Blu-ray release
I hope this isn't the final artwork (it's horrible). I hope they use the Victor movie poster (it's fantastic).
Horrible coverart

The actually broke up DURING the filming of Underworld, not before. Check the web, I have not found anything to contradict that.
I do admit that I forgot that his character died in the first one, thus no appearance in the sequel.
