Mummy 3 was a bit of a disappointment - maybe the 4th will be better?
Come on - you know they will do it....

You're not the only one - I thought it was a fun, decent, enjoyable popcorn flick. I'd get it - I own the other two.

I'm glad they kept the WANTED poster- the artworks perfect.
But still, the film is only decent... disappointed me, a fan of the graphic novel.

snuck into "Wanted" with my dad, and boy if it wasn't for the bonding I might have just walked out. I agree the rats were totally anti-climactic.
The artwork is nice though, specially the cutie from Big Love

Pretty good artwork! Thanks for posting.

Yeah, I saw that. I was hoping that it would. As I rebought the first two for the remastered pic. The first one seemed to be much better, but I really couldn't tell with the second one.
Ironically the Scorpion King 2 cover art has very similar artwork and spine artwork that the first one does, so all five of these films will match their corresponding friends.

I'll watch The Mummy 3 (it felt too short) and Wanted (loved the film) again on DVD. I hope wanted has some deleted scenes and a good audio commentary.
I'm excited for Mamma Mia! it's gonna be great to own it on DVD. I've seen it 3 times and it's definitely great. Not for EVERYONE but still a good film. I LOVE the DVD cover and I'm so happy that it's getting a 2-disc treatment, I hope the DVD cover doesn't change although I will still love it if it did. I will also probably be picking up Wanted, but not Mummy. Sorry, just never got around to seeing any of the mummies.

Well, all three "Mummy" movies weren't exactly high-class when it came to screenplays. Give the third film a rent at least. If you didn't like it, you can always say "I told you so."

I'm a sucker for GOOD movies, so I'm not getting any of these.

I agree!
I will buy WANTED and MAMMA MIA. Loved both! I won't bother with the new MUMMY movie. I hate that it's getting a 2-Disc DVD but WANTED doesn't appear to be getting one. I hope that changes.

Well I didn't see Mamma Mia! but my mom and sister are big fans of the show (I thought it was alright but besides the music nothing special) so I'll probably get it anyway. I enjoyed The Mummy 3 basically because of Fraser and the action scenes, but it really does not hold a candle to the first two. His son adds nothing to the film now that he's older and they should get rid of him, and while I terribly missed Rachel, Maria Bello surprisingly was fine and actually seemed to be having the most fun and had some decent chemistry with Fraser and the cast. Wanted was such a fun and over-the-top surprise that I really greatly enjoyed it. Since Universal is doing all these nice DVD editions I'm sure Wanted will get at least a 2-Disc cause it deserves it. I really like the artwork for all 3 DVDs and am happy to see that Mummy 3 will match with the new editions that I bought in July, I was hoping it would.

I actually really dislike that, because those releases were totally pointless for anybody who already owned the films, such as myself. Decent artwork, but I'd prefer something a bit more... alive.

Cannot WAIT for Mamma Mia! Seen it 3 times already and cannot wait to own it on BLUY-RAY!!! Audio is gonna rock on that disc!
To those who are hesitant or interested...GIVE IT A TRY!!!

Besides, if Weisz turned down the film after reading the script, that says something...
Actors aren't always good indications of a script's quality, and the lack of Summers (and Imhotep) in the third film was a breath of fresh air. (What could've Imhotep done in a third film? A second film with him in it was pushing it.) I missed Weisz in the third film, but Maria Bello wasn't that bad of a replacement. If anything, her Evy was a lot less damsel-in-distress-y than Weisz's turn in the first two films. (Bello's Brit accent was good, if quite posh at times.)
And I think "Mummy 3" is a LOT better than Cohen's previous films "xXx" and "Stealth." Ugh.

Wanted all the way!

I will NetFlix 'Mamma Mia.'
It's nice to see that the art has stuck with the same design as the Blu-ray covers of the first two, but I will NEVER watch 'Mummy 3.' Here's why:

On 'Wanted' BD, as this is Universal, you know you are getting DTS-MA for the audio, which potentially will makes 'Wanted' even more yummy!

The Mummy was so-so, but I'm a completist and will pick it up since I got the new 2-disc sets for the previous films and the artwork matches nicely.
I hated Wanted. I don't know why so many people liked it. Will gladly pass.
I'll rent Mama Mia. Has a decent cast and I like some musicals.

Disappointed that Wanted doesn't have a special edition, I really liked it. I didn't see The Mummy, but I wanted to. I'll NetFlix it, and I'm sure I'll like it enough to buy eventually to complete the series.
Wow, am glad their keeping the OFFICIAL THEATRICAL POSTER for all THREE!!!! Very rare occasion.
Are Blu-Ray discs region free?
Soz but just wanted to find out as i intend to get a Blu-Ray home cinema system to that my older american DVD'S will stop flickering on the flatscreen Plasma TV

I liked all the Mummy films and Im so glad that they made the Two-Disc Deluxe Edition artwork match the previous films.
I will get all three, I enjoyed all of them.

I enjoyed Mummy 3 for what it was, which was good dumb fun. If it wasn't for the horrid dialogue (some of the worst in recent years for me), I'd've liked it a lot more. If there's a 1-disc, that'll be the version I'm getting.
Haven't seen Mamma Mia yet, but my mom and dad did and they said it was good. My mom wants to buy it so I guess I'll be watching it at some point.
Didn't see Wanted yet either, but wanted to. I rent it first and if I like it well enough, I'll buy it.

Quote: "Mummy 3" was dumb fun. I thought it was much better than "The Mummy Returns" and "The Scorpion King", but many of the action scenes were edited too quickly and the CGI wasn't up to par. Not to mention Jet Li hardly had any good action scenes, but Isabella Leong and Maria Bello were fun to watch. It was trying too hard, and was way too short to be effective. The only memorable part for me was the titles at the end "They later found mummies in Peru". I thought that was the only fun[ny] part.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one who thought "Wanted" sucked? I mean, the first 30 minutes were breezy and fun, but then loses the sense of fun once McAvoy's character goes through his "training." Although the climax with the rats was fun in an over-the-top way, as well as Jolie's butt shot.

Haven't seen "Mamma Mia" yet. Not a fan of musicals, but I just may see it just because of the music.

I hope Wanted has a 2-disc waiting in the wings. If the other two can have one, so can Wanted.

Oh yes, 3 region free blu-ray !

Ah jesus. God *beep* the Mummy. I hated that stupid movie. Mamma Mia was all right. Not that great. I wanted to see "Wanted." I don't think I've met anyone that seen it yet, but people I knew at camp wanted to see that movie for trip day.
I love that they stuck with the posters unlike Hancock (Unrated)
That cover is so awful

Meh, meh and meh. Wasn't impressed with any of these movies ( especially 'Wanted' ) but if I was going to buy any of them it would probably be The Mummy 3.
No Chris Burge, your not the only one who enjoyed The Mummy 3. I loved it and will also be picking up the blu-ray for all 3 of these although Mamma Mia will be a blind buy for me.
I can't wait for Mamma Mia. I'm a sucker for a cheesy musical.
Im the only who enjoyed Mummy 3. Im going to pick up the Blu-ray.
All looks pretty good, hope they keep this 'Wanted' artwork, will definitely get the Blu-Ray for 'Wanted' (there's bound to be one) - should look and sound great!, not sure about the other two though, kinda want to try 'Mamma Mia', but not sure if I'll enjoy it...
I don't have confirmed street dates for any of these yet, which is why I've thrown them all in together. I'll add seperate articles when I know more on each
