Thats why i watched it, Kate is gorgeous.
By the way do todays directors have a bet on to see who can make the worsed movie or something?

The worst thing about this movie, I think, was Jackman. While the other actors/actresses knew that this movie was intentionally cheesy, and they're not supposed to take it too seriously, Hugh seemed like he was trying to make it as serious as possible, and it just came off laughable. C'mon, Hugh, way to ruin the fun!

??????????
I actually love this movie (okay, it's a sick, twisted love, but still...) Unfortunately, this sort of stuff is getting really old. The studios has pushed me to the point of not ever wanting to buy ANYTHING on DVD because they'll eventually release a bigger, tricked out version of something I've already paid for (even though I don't need this since I bought the special edition the first time around ... told you I love this movie... and sold the third disc classic monster movies to someone who wanted it). I'm passing on SO many things these days knowing that either 1) there'll be a better edition later or 2) it'll eventually show up as an $8.99 item (or less) at Best Buy.
It's all about Kate in tight clothes. The movies is totally boring.
But that is one hell of a cover! Owns the already released version.
By the way, editors: I imagine Universal announced this DVD and not Paramount.

This should fly off shelves... right into the garbage can.
No Blu release?
Unless Beckinsale runs around in latex, don't expect a sale from me.
Don't care much about this, but while we're on the subject of Kate B - when the hell is Whiteout gonna get released? Wasn't it announced at last year's Comic Con??
LOVE that cover. Too bad it's not enough to make me re-buy it.

damn i already paid $16 just to watch Kate's hot little ass once before..... doubt i'll do it again.
WHY? this movie was awful.
The Mummy was MUCH better than this snore-fest.
For as much as I kinda like the movie, the regular edition is more than enough, the movie is a C+ or B- at the most, the B- being the WAY most...
Yes, I think Deception isa better movie with Hugh Jackman and the Underworld films with Kate are so much better than Van Helsing.
Van Helsing was such a waste of time why bother releasing it again? Ever?
Collectors Edition?
Someone collects c**p?
wow. anyways. One of the worst movies I've ever rented, wanted my money back as soon as it was done. Over the top in every performance, and Jackmans worst role ever.

Um... is there anything new on there? I'm fairly certain I'll stick with my 3-disc edition.
But really, is there one new thing on there from the regular 2-disc edition (which is the first 2 discs of the 3-disc)? I mean at least the new Mummy sets have a few new things; not enough to merit purchase, but still, they're new. Damn, Universal, just... damn.
I will however pick up the newer Dracula and Frankenstein Legacy Collection 2-discs, as well as the new Mummy one. In fact, those'll all probably be on sale when the Mummy comes out, so I'll get them then, methinks.

What's the point of suddenly coming out with this? There's already a 3-Disc edition!
Re-package it as often as you want, it's still a load of sh*ite. Stephen Sommers, kindly f**k off, Deep Rising was better than the bullsh*t you pass off as movie these days.
This movie was a stinker peeyew
Well the cover is certainly better and there are more extras than the single disc I already own. So I am certainly tempted, but I must try to resist.
I seriously think it's a stupid idea to release a 2-disc for Van Helsing.
I passed on it the first time around, then saw it on cable. I may not pass it up this time. And what a coincidence that similarly-priced two-disc editions of the Mummy (remake) films are coming out the same day. :p
lol sec127 we're in the same boat. i kinda want it becuz the cover is so cool and kate b. is so hot, but i already have the 1 disc and really dont care for the special features....as this movie is not dat good where u care about how they made it....
I really like this movie. And I always wanted to have the 3 disc dvd of the first edition but it when OOP. So, I'll buy this with Van Helsing The London Assignment to complete the Van Helsing collection.
Sorry, but interested in buying it.
for some reason i kinda want this. someone talk me out of it.

no blu-ray love? awwwww
I might hawk my three-disc to get this, since Universal has since done Legacy releases of Dracula and Frankenstein (with The Mummy, now, and a remake of it on the way, can The Wolfman be far behind?), so the third disc is kinda worthless.
I liked this movie the way I like Army of Darkness. Not that this is anywhere near as good, but it's the same principle. I have to agree that the very end of the movie, the last scene, is probably one of the worst scenes I've ever seen in any movie, though.

No reason to buy this again though the artwork is stunning. Gorgeous!
I didn't think this movie was great, but I have the original single disc release and I'll probably upgrade eventually. I was thinking about getting the old three disc release, but I think I'd rather have this.
They expect the schmucks who didn't buy the three disc edition and felt "cheated" by the one disc'r to pony up as an act of atonement to their wicked, wicked transgressions. Yeah, good luck with that, Universal.
Oh, and don't forget the "If you liked The Mummy, You'll love..." appeal

Again?
Totally agree that the cover art is so much better. I thought the movie was OK, but definately NOT worth a collector's edition. Who are they expecting to buy this?
Kate's hotness > this movie
The only reason why I got the 1st release even though I thought the movie was okay at best is that I love Kate Beckinsale and she was nice to look at in this movie. Other than that, no need for an upgrade for me.
It's a forgettable laugh, but I couldn't care less about a disc of stuff about how the film was made. No reason to upgrade at all.
At least the cover art is better than the godawful one they had before. Still have no reason to pick this up either way.
Do we need that?
