Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc ($28.96) and 2-disc ($34.95) releases of Vantage Point which stars Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, and Forest Whitaker. Each will include an anamorphic widescreen presentation, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras on both will include a director commentary, 2 featurettes (Coordinating Chaos, Writing the Assasination of a President), cast and crew interviews, Surveillance Tapes: Outtake, Una Conversacion Con Eduardo Noriega, and trailers. The only additional feature on the 2-disc will be a digital copy of the film. A Blu-ray release will also be available for $38.96 with the above, plus a Vantage Viewer: GPS Tracker.

Man that cover sucks. I always thought the original theatrical poster looked fine.

It kind of sucks because the only additional feature for the 2-disc is that stupid digital copy we always don't need. If I wanted to buy the DVD I'd only get the 1 disc. By the way that cover sucks!
Seriously please change it. And stop using 'digital copies'. People need to know they are like DVD-ROMs.

Wow that cover is bad, it looks like a straight to dvd release!
It certainly doesn't look like a major studio release that grossed 75 million at the box office.
As always the original poster was fine, it's obvious they want the star recognition for the rental market....I wonder why they don't they have 2 covers one rental business and the original poster art for sale?

It had a pretty cool concept, but man, was this a WEAK, pathetic excuse for a movie.
this type of movie just really isn't my cup of tea so I will pass

A hand gun with a 40-round clip would be nice too...they could just replicate the one he used in the film...
...eh, I tease...I enjoyed the film...even through the annoying, repetitive "rewind sequences" that drove most viewers mad...it's a well-constructed flick...

This movie and "The Ruins" are the two worst movies I've seen this year so far. This movie has so much c**ppy acting and other various c**ppy bits to it. You're better off renting or buying "Rashomon" or any other better flick that has ripped off its formula.

I kept rolling my eyes the umm 5th time the clock went back to noon. I HATED this movie. Plus Dennis Quaid doesnt have a drop of blood after smashing his car multiple times
I didn't think the movie was as horrible as some of you are saying it is. It's got a good cast and the action scenes were quite entertaining. My only issues were obviously the tedious flashbacks, but in retrospect I saw what the writers were trying to do and IMO they were needed to tell this story. Also, there is a reveal in the movie that comes way out of left field. Other than that, the movie is watchable and worst case scenario is a good rental.
SWEET! Finally they get the 1 Disc 2 Disc release correct, i got sick of paying extra money for a "Digital Copy" that i dont use or want! I just wanted the single disc with all the extra features! Hopefully 20th Century Fox will follow suit here and quit screwing the fans of their movies
Terrible cover but good movie. But I will only buy this dvd if the 1 disc has all the features. I don't want to pay more to get a useless 2nd disc and the features. Digital copy = stupid idea, who really use it for real ????
i would say people on the go uses the digital copy but for me and a lot of us find it utterly ridiculous and totally useless....so yea i dont really understand this new wave or trend in dvd advertising....
I know people like discs, but they should just start including a code in the DVD case that will allow you to buy the Digital Copy from the Sony website for like two bucks.

Horrible cover! However, I do give sony credit for only inculding the digital copy on the 2-disc and not any exclusive extras like FOX has been doing.
I agree that the cover is horrible. To call is ultra-busy and cheesy/cheap-looking is an understatement. I especially like the pic of the woman turing around very quickly so her hair is going all over the place. That's a shame because the movie wasn't half bad. I may pick up the single disc - this digital copy disc business is getting a little out of hand.

Yep, that artwork is pretty bad
... but I found the film to be very fast, and very fun. I kept my expectations low and I was thuroughly surprised. I'll pick up the dvd sometime...probably when it hits $9.99.

If Sony's smart, they'll have there focus group hounds scouring the net for feedback. After they see all the negative reaction this cover seems to be generating, perhaps they'll see the light and dig up one of their alternative concepts. We can only hope.

There was not reason for Forest Whitaker's character to be in the movie!!!!
