This was such a fun, smart and sumptuous film, and in my opinion, one of Woody's best. I will definitely be buying it, but the question is- dvd or blu? I'll have to ponder, but great artwork! I'm so glad the poster was used.
I have a feeling when this gets a zillion Golden Globe nominations tomorrow, they'll be modifying the art work.
I'm glad they're sticking with this artwork, I'll be buying it.
LOVE the cover art and love that it's the original poster! Amazing movie! Very Woody Allen with it's wit, sarcasim and humor. GOLDEN BLOBE nom for PENELOPE CRUZ!!!! She stole EVERY SCENE!
that one was pretty refreshing Woody Allen movie
Did not get a chance to see this during its theatrical run, but it'll be 'VCB' on Blu for me....the exterior shots of Spain should look especially nice on the Blu canvas....sigh, I wish Woody would use the Scope format once in a while. Much as I like Bardem, I don't think he'll leave as lasting an impression in this role as he did with his character, Anton Chigurh in 'No Country For Old Men'!....as for Johansson, I think she's one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood....as for Cruz, I prefer her in movie roles produced in her native Spanish tongue; loved her in Almodavar's 'All About My Mother' & 'Volver'.
Can't wait for the downpour of extras we get with each Woody Allen release
I'm a die hard fan of Woody Allen. But I haven't got a chance to go and see this. I never really thought that we would ever get Woody's film on HD, but of course there is Match Point and Cassandra's Dream coming out on BD in France and Norway respectively. Anyway, I've heard great things about VCB, can't wait till this Blu-Ray comes out...
Wait...wait. Didn't this get released like two or three weeks AGO?

3 or 4 months ago. I know I saw it early in August. It was amazingly well written. His recent movies are radically different, but I like them all a lot. Match Point was fantastic, Cassandra's Dream was interesting but not great, then this was amazing.

I wonder if it will be only Mono.
Great movie!
The cover is cool, but it's funny how they airbrushed Scarlett Johansson's armpits...

It was supposed to be released on November 25th, but TWC keeps pushing it back. On Friday (in Houston, at least), they're re-releasing VCB back into theaters to build more buzz up for Cruz and, hopefully, Woody's screenplay.

I've never seen a Woody Allen movie so I might check it out.

then you should not start with this film, go back to his earlier works, namely, "Annie Hall", i always find that a good place to start if your new to his type of film. "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" is an excellent film but its not for newcomers to Allen. I was surprised and pleased to see it get 4 Golden Globe nominations. Cruz will so take the statue, she was fantastic here. I will be picking this up on DVD.

I just wanna be in a Cruz and Johansson sandwich
