Do we really need a sequel?

Well, if it´s good, yes, we do. If it´s not good, no we don´t.
...and NO, we do not need a third DVD release.

Give us a BD already!
This actually looks like it has less on it then the '20th Anniversary Edition' that came out a couple of years ago!
There is a Blu-ray out. You can get it for twelve bucks new at most stores. I wasn't a huge fan of this film but I still might go see the sequel, even though I think it was not needed.
the trailer for the sequel looks awesome. the cell phone bit is hysterical. does anyone know what song is playing during the trailer???
The sequel looks good to me. Michael Douglas doing what he does best (ie. playing a rich white man)? Hell yes. Shia LaBeouf? Damn good actor (see: "Tru Confessions"
. Josh Brolin? Another damn good actor. Oliver Stone? Eh, he makes good movies every now and again - the original Wall Street being one of them.
This re-release, though? No. The 20th Anniversary edition is barely 2 years old and was a sufficient edition. This cash-in on the sequel just seems silly. The cover art is lacking, and the "Insider Trading Edition" tag is ridiculous. Unless it gets picked up for Steelbook packaging and comes with a ticket to see the sequel, I'll be passing.

No we don't need a third now edition of "Wall Street" on DVD. Just that the movie studio is using this as a tie in/cash in with the sequel coming out soon. Pointless to those who own it like us, those who don't might pick it up. The sequel does look pretty interesting.
Why????? There is a perfectly good 2-disc special edition on the market right now. If you want to promote the sequel, just re-issue the previous edition with Movie cash.
I already got the 20th Anniversary Edition, also considering I saw the original DVD in the Walmart $5 bin for a long time. I don't need to buy it again.
Greed is Good..........
As per another site, my understanding was that this comes with all the features from the "Greed is Good" edition AND the new features listed above. Who knows, though. And I bought the Greed is Good Blu-Ray and was severely underwhelmed by the PQ, so buyer beware if you're looking to get it in HD.
I don't like the way they used a different font for "WALL" in the title, nor the green tint or the tickers in the background. The cover for the GIG DVD/Blu is much better-looking.

Why complain about sequels? Why wonder if its necessary? Don't like it? Don't go. Read a book. Get some exercise. Do your taxes.
Or whine about it on the internet. Whatever.

Quite simply a cash in on the sequel - If you like this movie enough to buy the DVD you would already have it
Yes, you have to love the irony of criticizing a cash-in for this particular film. Of course it's all about the studio making an extra buck. Gekko would be proud.
As for whether or not we need a sequel, why not? If you think it will somehow diminish the original or that the filmmakers should only pursue more original projects, you're probably spending too much time posting on message boards. And the latter is the only thing that, truly, no one actually needs.

Great movie that needs a Blu-Ray big time.
