Quote: Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston star in this laugh-out-loud comedy about leaving it all behind. After George (Rudd) loses his high-stress Manhattan job, he and his wife, Linda (Aniston), hit the road and wind up crashing at Elysium, a free-spirited community of hippies, tree-huggers and the occasional nudist. Featuring an all-star ensemble cast including Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman and Alan Alda, Wanderlust has “more laughs than I’ve had at the movies in a very long time.” (Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer)

Malin Ackerman is responsible for the last syllable in the title...

Interesting, but is the movie any good? Theatrical cut first then!

I heard it was decent. It would've done better except the studio only ran it in 2000 theaters and only started advertising a month before its release. Last time I checked it had a fresh rating on RT and I remember seeing a couple A's and A-'s.
I liked it, but I'm a David Wain fan so that was probably inevitable. I'd lump it with something like Get Him to the Greek. Structurally kind of a mess, inconsistent, but has a few really funny moments that make the whole thing worth it.
This is worth seeing, not great but does have its moments. Its very uneven tho. I was either laughing out loud or waiting for something to happen. Just to let those know, there is no nudity from jen sad to say. The same thing happened last year with horrible bosses. She does flash newsreporters in the film but we dont see anything. I doubt we'll see that footage(if it exists) on the bluray at all
If Aniston refuses to go nude in theatres, I doubt she's gonna allow it in an extended cut on home video, where people can pause/screencap/scrutinize it. Weak sauce, unlike Akerman who's (as far as I remember) completely casual about on-screen nudity (as she should).

Another factor is that the ads they were running on TV sucked. It's like they expected to sell it on Aniston and Rudd's names alone. With better marketing and the right release date this could have done better.

If I ever meet Paul Rudd, I'm going to ask him how he blew his audition for "Return of the Living Dead 3".
