I think you missed the entire point of the film.

So the same thing as the last edition? Only they replace the digital copy disc with a DVD edition. And they add the book.
I would have liked to own this if it wasn't for the book being included to hike up the price.

To say it adds nothing is just stupid. Adding the Black Freighter into the movie makes it as close to the book as it can be. You may or may not like it, but to say it adds nothing is not true
not to mention there's actually a bit of new footage as well featuring the old man and kid at the news stand for all the moments we go in and out of the comic book. i remember the first time i saw this in theaters, something about them just seemed off. you could tell stuff had been cut revolving them and they had a bigger part originally. sorta like that waitress in Avengers.

I want "The Dark Knight Rises" instead.
It put me to sleep.
The movie wasn't boring. It was just the ending that is ridiculous and filled with cowards.
Are they going to make the film even more boring now?
I'll get this just to see the Black Freighter interweived in with the film.
I have the Director's Cut on blu-ray and can't stand it. But I guess a pointless multi-dip is for fans, huh ?
If anyone is a major fan then they really need to get both UK releases (theatrical and DC), as they have superior image quality to the US discs. You miss out on the Maximum Movie Mode though.
One difference worth noting is that the Director's Cut Blu-ray has Maximum-Movie Mode hosted by Zack Snyder, but the Ultimate Cut Blu-ray has an actual audio commentary with the director that some prefer.
If they really wanted to make this the ultimate cut, they should have also included the Director's Cut with the Maximum Movie Mode.
This just seems like the Ultimate Cut from 2009 with the comic thrown in, even though it features nice packaging.
Since I already have the original Ultimate Cut and the Absolute Edition of the comic, no point in getting this. Like HagenDarth said - The Ultimate Double Dip.

Don't be fooled; the actual title is Watchmen - The Ultimate Double Dip...

And is it just me or is this missing a trove of special features from the current editions?
yup it came out in 2009...so this is indeed just an excuse to release the movie again. i know it wasnt the financial success they were hoping so maybe they're just that hard up to make a profit. lol[/quote
Okay that's what I thought. If the special features were same as the previous release; would probably pick this up as I haven't gotten Watchmen yet.

As much as I like the movie, I somehow never got around to buying it. Glad I waited, I'll definitely be getting this.

As if the theatrical version and the director's cut wasn't long enough. 215 minutes long!
I have it all but it all looks so pretty together. Shame the UK never got the ultimate edition cut.
Can anyone say re-release? Should drive the second hand market prices down if nothing else.
Want.
