Lions Gate Home Entertainment has announced season one of Weeds which stars Romany Malco, Kevin Nealon, Mary-Louise Parker and Elizabeth Perkins. The set will be available to own from the 11th July, and should retail at around $39.98. Each of the episodes will be presented in 1.33:1 full frame, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 Surround tracks. Extras will include six commentaries with cast and crew, some "Smokey Snippets", a "Smoke and Mirrors" Original Marijuana Mockumentary, Agrestic Herbal Recipes, some Showtime Original Content Including Special On Suburbia, and a music video.

definitely buying this... really great show, with lots of great acting.
Is there any word on why it's 1.33:1 rather than 16:9? It's shown in full HD on Showtime.

I've been wanting to see this but Cablevision wouldn't give me the free preveiw weekend. Idiots. I still want to buy this though. It looks really good.

Great show! Once again, it takes HBO or Showtime to actually do something ORIGINAL. I think the July release is right around the time of second season starting.

Great show. Mary-Louise Parker is kind of dry at times (but good) and Elizabeth Perkins is just hilarious.
Yeah, I absolutely love that cover, it's pretty clever.
i have to admit this, this corny serie is really fun :D :D i'm sure getting this one when it hits the stores here
