Fox Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray ($39.99) releases of Whip It which stars Ellen Page, Marcia Gay Harden, and Drew Barrymore. Each will be available to own from the 26th January. Extras will include an alternate opening, and 8 deleted and extended scenes. The Blu-ray release will also include a Writers Draft with Shauna Cross feature, and a digital copy of the film. We've attached the official package artwork below:

Aww...man. I loved this movie, but I really am starting to get sick of those colored case DVDs and Blu-Ray. Maybe will rent and get a pre-viewed copy. I dunno - probably a rental now.

I'll Netflix this. I like Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore. Also, this received great reviews from critics and seems like just some lighthearted fun. I like the green cases though.

I wouldn't mind colored cases on DVDs (mostly rental editions or white ones) but not on Blu-Ray. Chances are this will be DVD.

Day one Blu-ray purchase for the mega-hot Drew Barrymore!!!
Green blu-ray? Really? With Hulk, OK, he's green, but as far as I know Page doesn't have a green alter ego in this one.
Looked lame. MIGHT rent.

This film was pretty good considering Drew Barrymore's directorial debut. Now, its the "green" BD case that kills the experience of such a good film. This ain't no "Incredible Hulk" Green-ray

I really enjoyed this one. It was very entertaining, with good performances and a fun soundtrack. Kristen Wiig was great. This is her best movie role to date, IMO. I will purchase it. It deserved to do better at the Box Office. Should have been a breakout hit.
I didnt know daniel stern was in this either. I like the green case, LOL THAT may be reason for me to blind buy it. Of course i am kidding, i do like the green but i will rent this first. This looks like the perfect rental. I didnt want to go to theatres to see it but it could be a fun stay at home movie
