White Noise 2 (US - DVD R1 | HD)
Universal sends over artwork and early specs for this recent Nathan Fillion film
Title: White Noise 2 (IMDb)
Starring: Nathan Fillion
SRP: Prices TBC
Further Details:
Universal Home Video has sent over early details on White Noise 2 which stars Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff. The street date has yet to be confirmed for this one I'm afraid, although we can confirm that the DVD will include deleted scenes, a Journey into Madness featurette, a Making of White Noise 2 featurette, and another featurette on near-death experiences. We've attached some early package artwork below:

Do you really think White Noise 2 would go to theaters? White Noise 1 made no money and sucked goat nuts. I don't understand why they even bothered with a second one. What's with these horrible straight-to-video sequels nowadays? The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, The Butterfly Effect 2... jeez.

The person on the DVD cover that is "screaming" looks more like their singing.

I love Nathan Fillion. Why hasn't he exploded like George Clooney? They kind of have the same charm. It's not fair!
Nathan Fillion would have been perfect as Harrison Ford's replacement as a younger Indiana Jones. He definitely deserves to do well because he is a good charismatic actor who is easy to watch (If anyone can put that in a way that doesn't make it sound like I want to be his prison cell girlfriend then please let me know.)
Also, I'm not 100% sure but I think that we may have had a theatre release of this in the UK about a year or so ago...

This movie has been available in the UK on DVD for around 6 months or so. I think it goes by the title 'WHITE NOISE 2 - THE LIGHT'. It's not a bad movie - pretty entertaining.
I'll check it out -- Nathan Fillion is one actor to look out for. It's a shame he's not getting more high-profile projects ("Firefly" and SERENITY were a great showcase for his acting abilities and proof that he is a good leading man) than the usual TV or movie bit part c**p thrown his way nowadays.

Let me rephrase: It was supposed to be in theaters first. Yeah, I hated the first one too.

This actually was a very entertaining movie, and it doesn't have much to do with the previous one.
Why would we need a sequel when the first one sucked?
This did have a short run in theatres. The first movie was okay, but do not judge this movie on that one´s merits or failings. This is a completely different movie, in fact, it has nothing in common with the first movie. As a whole although the first had bigger actors and obviously a bigger budget, this movie played a lot better and was very entertaining. Its worth checking out.

Why? The first was horrible yes, but when a sequel completely ignores a first horrible movie, then the sequel is much better. That usaully goes to most movies. So was White Noise 2 good? ABSOLUTELY! It makes White Noise look like more trash! WN2 was one of the better horror movies and one great death scene. Very well-made film.

From what I understand is that it had a limited theatrical release in Europe (happens to A LOT of trashy American STV flicks) but the US release was always planned to be straight-to-DVD.

well, least the art follows with the first movie's cover..lol
This is such a pointless sequel. The first movie was absolutely terrible, and (seeing as this sequel is going DTV) it's safe to say this movie won't be any better. Even Nathan Fillion couldn't save this horrible franchise.
Great cast, I'll check it out
Am I the only person who actually enjoyed White Noise?! It's not the best movie ever but it's good mindless entertainment to pass the time away.
I don't think its fair to slam a movie if you've never even seen it. Its not "safe" to say it won't be any better than the first one until you've actually viewed it. It certainly has a MUCH more interesting actor in the lead than the first movie. I have seen Nathan Fillion in other roles and its my opinion, based on what I've actually seen, that he is very talented and brings a lot of depth to the characters he plays. I can't wait to see this sequel and hope its availabile here in the states very soon!
The movie is actually better than expected, believe it or not. A decent plot and a few good scares. Cheap scares yes. But they're effective.
I want to see this sequel even though I have mixed feelings about the first one. The preview for this one does look interesting.
I been waiting for a year for this to come out, and still got to wait. I love Nathan Fillion, this movie looks really awesome, and I love all of Nathan Fillion's movies. And yes it was going to come out in the UK, but they kicked it. And here too, they were going to put it in theaters but they didn't do it, I don't know why, but it seems like they like to fup Nathan. But I hope it comes out next month so I can get it for my b-day.
This sequel completely ignores the first, uses the same plot from the first but "enhances" it for better viewing entertainment, some great death scenes, great performances, and it's a bit scary. Please, do not judge this movie is bad because the first was horrible and this is going to SDVD. I've seen it and it's good.
The cover looks the same is the first but it looks like Universal snatched the artwork for "The Prestige" and make one Nathan look like he's screaming & the other Nathan look like he is singing.
More Nathan! Soon!
More Nathan! Soon!
This movie wasn't bad...it was more entertaining than the first one...Nathan Fillion is a good actor. Don't know why he hasn't made it big....
I loved the first White noise. And I can't wait for White noise 2 on January 8th. It's just that I hate the straight-to-DVD sequels. Like Wrong turn 2, White noise 2, Lake placid 2, Boogeyman 2 and so on.
