I heard this was REALLY, REALLY GOOD! I can't wait to see this, not to mention Jennifer Lawrence is the new Mystique on the new X-Men: First Class. She also came on and played younger version of Chalize Theron on "The Burning Plain" I think she played Kim Basinger daughter, the Theron character.
Heard alot of good things about this movie, il try check it out for sure
I was actually really disappointed by this movie. I can't comprehend why its gotten such universal critical acclaim. Jennifer Lawrence and John Hawkes are great in it, and I would love to see Lawrence get an Oscar nomination, but the plot was a letdown. It does a wonderful job of creating a hostile atmosphere, but then nothing shocking or thrilling happens, ever. It gets tense, it has build up, then just fizzles out scene after scene and goes out quietly. And the first half is awfully repetitive.
Still, worth a watch for Lawrence, I say.

I agree SO MUCH with the last poster, i even posted on IMDB about how this sucked. There was nothing to it. I usually like smaller scale movies but this just did NOTHING for me. Timbuck two rednecks beating up on this girl. I thought it was going to be more of her personal journey for answers about her father. She mostly just sits around and like i mentioned gets beat up. LOL My mom was so mad i dragged her to this movie. Critics are sometimes over-eager to call something a masterpiece
This was absolutely incredible. Jennifer Lawrence gave one of the most heartfelt performance of the year so far.
