Wonderful movie. Every woman I know absolutely loves it. The original DVD has some good features, though, so I won't be double dipping on this one.
Gotta say, I do occasionally appreciate a solid rom-com, and this is one. Since it's probably going to be pretty cheap, I'll upgrade the snapper I picked up for $5 way back when.
Such a s**tty movie, yet I watch it whenever it's on TV.
I'm sooo buying this. An all new anamorphic transfer plus new extras? I'm in. And can finally get rid of the snapcase from the one and only previous release!!
I was surprised to see Japenese language tracks on the DVD and absolutely no Spanish tracks, than I stumbled upon the Region 2 logo on the bottom. In Region 1 Warner only includes their three main language tracks on their discs, English, Francais and Español.
Weak.
I actually liked this movie because of the source material it's based on (Shop Around the Corner and the play "She Loves Me" which holds a place in my heart, I know cheesy) though I do think the current release of this is perfectly fine. In any case, I'll still pick it up and give the snapper version to my little sis.
it says R2 on the back of the cover art...guess that will be fixed before it comes out

This is a very enjoyable movie. It is far from bad. People need to stop whining so often.
Theyre rereleasing Spice World... so focus your dvd blog anger on that. sheez. lol

I cant believe everyone hates this movie, I thought it was pretty decent... I was wondering what movies WB might be changing to "deluxe editions" where they get pretty much new releases with as little special features as possible. Oh well, like poltergeist, maybe I can get rid of my snapper.
To think that Warner still has flippers of great movies like the Pelican Brief and A Time To Kill and they would not give those a better treatment, yet, c**p like that gets rereleased!!! Sad!
[sarcasm]When am I going to get an HD release of this must-have?! Gawd![/sarcasm]
I love this film, love it - lurrrrrvvv it!!
I forgot Dave Chappelle was in this, lmao
That could possibly be the funniest quote ever to grace a DVD cover.

she got a bad facelift and nosejob... this movie could use both.
i don't know how it did so well in the theaters... it was TERRIBLE... oh I know how it made money, idiots like me took their high school girlfriends.
This movie should win the Nobel Prize for AWFULNESS

Wow, how completely unneccessary!
Wait... you can say cocked up but not c**p? Geez....
Lol, a company gets thousands of people to buy their dvd when it won't work in a single one of them (not including the smart people who have a all region player and computers)
It does indeed say region 2, but this is from Warner US so they've obviously just cocked up somewhere along the line!
The cover is something that could be made in MSPaint. Terrible.
Never would have thought this would get another release. I do recall seeing it. Nothing special at all. Matter of fact I hated Hanks in this movie.

Finally...my collection can be complete! /sarcasm

That's the best cover blurb ever attached to a movie.
And by "best" I mean "cheesiest".

Not only was it in the theater, It did well:
Domestic: $115,821,495 46.2%
+ Foreign: $135,000,000 53.8%
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
= Worldwide: $250,821,495

"I need more utter cr@p in my DVD cabinet! Hope an anniversay edition is coming out for this!"

This movie came out in 1998 and yes, it did have a theatrical release.
